Spotlight on Automotive Wireless Connectivity

Mini-Circuits (www.minicircuits.com) has developed a line of miniature lowpass filters that includes the model LFCN-6000 with passband from DC to 6000 MHz. The seven-section filter measures a mere 3.2 x 1.6 mm but can handle input power levels to 9 W. Ideal for harmonic rejection in VHF/UHF receivers, the tiny filter exhibits less than 1.2 dB insertion loss in the passband and provides out-of-band rejection of 20 dB at 8.5 GHz and 30 dB at 10.5 GHz. The passband VSWR is 1.30:1.
